Chris Geissler ’06

Chris Geissler ’06 is a Senior Research Assistant at the Brookings Institution in Washington D.C. He works in the Economic Studies department and his research focuses on tax policy, retirement savings, and the federal budget.

He works with the Tax Policy Center Microsimulation Model which is used to generate estimates of the revenue and distributional effects that various tax proposals would have on individuals and the economy. Estimates from this model are constantly used by policymakers and major news sources when discussing and debating tax policy.

At Williams, Chris was an economics and math double major as well a Junior Advisor Co-President. Chris currently resides in the Van Ness neighborhood and loves living in Washington as it is a young city with lots to do. When he has some free time, Chris enjoys attending concerts and sporting events.
