Jeremy Da ’03

Jeremy Da is a professional drummer and currently runs his own translation business specializing in legal translations for law firms in the financial field.

Jeremy was born and raised in the suburbs of Paris, France and moved to the United States for college. While at Williams, Jeremy majored in Political Economics/Leadership Studies and spent most of his summers working in the music business with internships at Sony Music Studios, Atlantic Records, and Writers and Artists Group International (a booking firm).

Upon graduating, Jeremy played in several different musical groups and toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe. He then moved back to France where he accepted a position as Legal Assistant in Shearman & Sterling LLP’s Paris office. After almost two years at Shearman & Sterling LLP, Jeremy moved back to New York City to once again pursue his musical endeavors while continuing to work for Shearman & Sterling LLP on a freelance basis translating their financial documents from French to English and English to French. Since then he has both amassed new clients in translation and signed endorsement contracts with Shine Drums of Sacramento, CA and Impact Industries Inc. of Wausau, WI.

He now lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn with his dog Taiko and still performs regularly with his musical project “Get it!”
