Scheduling Information Sessions or On-Campus Interviews
The Williams Career Center is now using Handshake, an exciting and innovate recruiting platform. Handshake, allows you to post jobs and internships, request information session dates, and manage your on-campus recruiting activities at Williams. There is no fee to post a job or internship for Williams students or to recruit on campus. For more information about how to use Handshake visit the employer guide. Connecting With Students & Building Your Brand
The key to successful recruiting at Williams is to build your brand by developing and maintaining a strong presence on campus.
Information sessions begin in mid-September and are typically scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings at 7pm or 8pm. These sessions run for 45 minutes. Please request your information session on Handshake. For questions about scheduling, contact Kristen McCormack, Assistant Director, Employer Relations.
If you choose to hold your information session or reception off campus, please let us know as soon as possible of the date and location for your session so that we may avoid scheduling conflicts and answer student questions regarding your event.
The Job & Internship Fair
The fall Job & Internship Fair is on Friday, September 22, 2017 in the Chandler Gymnasium. Please be aware that JIF spots fill quickly so we encourage you to register in Handshake as early as possible.
Interviewing on Campus
On-campus interviewing begins in September and continues through mid-May.
The Career Center uses Handshake to schedule interviews and manage the transmission of resumes and cover letters. If you need to adjust your schedule, please contact us so that special arrangements can be made. Once a schedule has been set, we ask that you adhere to it. Virtual On-Campus Recruiting
Can’t join us on campus? We can still make a connection for you! Please schedule your event in Handshake and specify your technical needs.
If you must cancel an interview schedule after students have signed up, please notify those students of your cancellation directly by phone or by email. Also, contact the Career Center to let us know of the change.
Informing Students of Your Visit
The Career Center publicizes all scheduled recruiting events. If you wish to reach out to student groups or other contacts on campus, we are happy to provide you with that information.
Food and beverages are allowed in most meeting spaces on campus. However, a few of the larger auditoriums that are often used for information sessions do not. Please check with the Assistant Director, Employer Relations, to determine whether or not catering is allowed in your assigned room. We ask that you contact local caterers directly to place your order.
