THE DEIA & RACIAL JUSTICE FUND WILL BE CLOSING AT 2:00PM on May 12, 2023.
The newly imagined DEIA & Racial Justice Fund goes beyond the former application-based, CAF-inspired model and has been reenvisioned to primarily provide event support for BIPOC and other affinity organizations, career exploration for traditionally underrepresented and marginalized groups, and secondarily to provide continued DEIA training for our staff. Student groups interested in collaborating with the ‘68 Center for DEIA events with a career focus should schedule an appointment with the Director of Inclusive Career Exploration, Alexa Icenia by emailing [email protected].
At the moment, the pool of funds is limited, so the ‘68 Center will support as many projects as possible until the funds are exhausted. Our goal is to utilize these funds to provide event support that coincides with other affinity-focused times of year – such as ensuring we honor Black History Month, Women’s Month, Autism Awareness, Pride, and other LGBTQIA events, and beyond. Additionally, this fund aims to fill in the gaps and bridge additional Career Access Fund support.
Students can apply for funding related to DEIA & Racial Justice by filling out this form. We will review applications on a rolling basis as long as funds remain. Requests should be detailed, career related, and students should explain how the funding would benefit them.
Finally, we want to hear YOUR voices, so please schedule an appointment with Alexa at your convenience to talk about how we can build out our support for you and grow the DEIA & Racial Justice Fund further.
